God, it's almost like Bang has been reincarnated on some of these posts.

Amazing how some people seem to take personal offense at a well balanced and reasonable set of points.

There's a difference between discussing things in a heated way and generally being a pair of blatant numpties.

Also on that site:

http://www.contactmusic.com/new/home.ns ... sx13x12x04

A 90 minute onslaught of vibrant, ripping and rambunctious rock followed with the most impressive performance of the night coming from under the weather drummer Sturdy, who pelted the beats out with renewed vigour.

Classy website

They even got the date of the show wrong or did Ginge leave the stage in two consecutive gigs, the one we where all at and one the following night in the reviewers head?

That's top quality thievery that is. Not only nicking and misinterpreting a good chunk of the blog, but also the day it was written, presumably without feeling the need to check whether Mr Ling had fancied a bit of shut eye before he wrote his thoughts up. Image

The contact music site seems to be playing a very bad game of chinese whispers.

The first quote isn't even right on either Dave Ling's or the contact music site. To correct matters, from the live recording:

"Honest I'm really sorry man but er, I'm hopeless at lying. [laughs] I'm not very good at lying, and, er, if I'm having a shit time, I just look like I'm having a shit time, y'know what I mean - I really don't mean to, but I'm a bit bi-polar so there's not a lot I can do about it.

But I do apologise for looking like a cunt, but, er, really, er, the sounds fookin' horrible up here, and er, it's fookin' really is a pain in the arse, y'know what I mean, and I really do apologise, I'm so sorry.

It's nothing worth clapping at, honest now, I'm acting like a cunt, and I know that I'm acting like a cunt."

The London gig at The Forum Dec 10th was utter shit!!!..By far the worst performance i,ve ever seen from them...Frequently out of tune guitars,,Ginger not bothered to sing the songs.instead playing instrumentals..Pure shit..
I flew from Ireland to see this gig..spent well over €200 on flight, train from airport, hotel and gig ticket..and it aint the 1st time,,a few gigs back,i spent alot of money to get to the UK to see them and Ginger had similar issues on stage and the gig ended up being very poor,,the time before that i again spent alot of money to get to see them and they cancelled,,the only refund i got was the gig ticket..i lost out big time on that one.
Last night they started "Just In Lust" (one of my fav songs) as i got into them around that time in 95..so i was chuffed only for ginger to sing a few lines then looking really pissed off smashes the mic stand with his guitar sending the mic stand crashing to the ground,,for the rest of the song ginger just walked around in circles playing his guitar..the front row (where i was) were looking at each other and im sure they were thinking the same as me..WTF??? And he did that numerous times during the gig.
Ginger obviously has issues and i applaud his honesty with coming out to the crowd and apologizing telling us straight up that he was in a shit mood.
But for me personally it all comes down to this-
If im going to be bothered to organise travel and accomodation spending hundreds of euros doing so to go see one of my favourite bands....then i expect to see a rockin show,,not someone who does,nt give a shit and walks around the stage in circles instead of singing his songs.....but thats just me
So in finishing im just going to say that im retiring from The Wildhearts live experience.Im just going to listen to their cds from now on.

This is your second post... why bother? "...smashes the mic stand with his guitar sending the mic stand crashing to the ground..." do you want "more rocking" than that?
