If you can email it to me, I can host it on my buddy's server, where I keep all of my stuff.

Sounds great, by the way. Definite keeper.

Cheers, I'll do that.

I just need to add some more vox into the chorus, and make the solo sound a bit more messy.

Awww... I was actually working on some of the 'chorus' vocal parts of Channel Bop to help out your recording. I can sing some of those high parts oddly enough.

Anyone doing IWGWTPG... considering the working title is still "Show Me A Hero"(if I'm not mistaken). I was going to attempt to record vocals for that song as a straight cover (no key changes or anything) for someone else to do the music to. Just an idea I had.

I've almost finished the music for that! Funny you should say that. I hope to finish either tonight or tomorrow.

It's sounding pretty good. Same key, pretty much a straight cover. Reason being I am planning on covering this in my band, so I've recorded it myself so I can put together the basic tab for the rest of the band (song formerly known as was in frame, but the lead guitarist fancied I Wanna Go - I'll not complain!). No better way of learning than doing, eh?

Dweezil, are you up for this? I'd be happy enough to do all music and maybe backing vox if needed. At present it's recorded at pretty much the same speed as the original, but I could always speed it up a bit. Plus, How about changing the style a bit? I could maybe make it a bit heavier in places, or maybe soften it up?

I definitely would be... I'm up for a challenge (I've never taken this sort of endeavor before). Definitely after the holidays. This will definitely be a test of my meddle with harmonies (something I've only been doing the last couple years). And there's a lot of harmonies in that song!
As far as changing it up... I would imagine that this song would be the ONE track to NOT change up.

I am inclined to agree. Send me a PM with yoru email address and I'll send you the rough version. I've not quite finshed it but you can see where I'm going and whether or not you have any suggestions music wise.

I might speed it up a tiny bit, but only a very small amount, no more than one or two BPM. It does make a difference.

As far as how we would combine our recordings goes, I'm not so sure. What I would prefer would be for you to record your vox and send me a high quality WAV/MP3 as then I can combine the two with no loss of quality. Problem, is this would mean your having to record thoe whole song in one take. I would then add that to the mix, and if you did want to add some harmonies I would send it back to you for you to do the same thing again.

I don't know if this thing is still rolling or not... but I've just remixed my cover of Caffeine Bomb and had it remastered... so if the tribute album happens, this will be my submission.

Caffeine Bomb

Also... I'm putting together my own album and I've really been itching to include this track on it, but I don't know how the legality of that would work out. If anyone's got any info, drop me a line. Thanks.

Yup - very good - however I think you need to turn the guitars up a fair bit. Drums and vox overpower them.
