Albums, singles, songs and general Ginger banter

Hey Ginger,

Can't wait for TJ's! I have yet to see any of the solo stuff live so I'm looking forward to finally seeing it. I was wondering how you create such diversity in your songs (as a musician it's something I like to/would like incorporate more myself with my music (if you're interested/have time I would love it if you could give me some pointers or opinons?))?

And...

I read somewhere you like Mastodon, have you heard anything off the new album? It's incredible!

Cheers!

I know what you mean about the promoters over here - The gig's not even on the Spring and Airbrake home page yet! I've sent them an email asking when they're going to start advertising, telling them they're missing a trick by not letting peope know that a storm is coming to Belfast, 14th May.

I'm looking forward to this show even more than I look forward to the WH shows - there are so many great songs to look forward to, each song will be a surprise. I can't even begin to predict what you're going delight us with!

Hi Ginger.

First off thanks for coming to Wales again Shepherd's Bush was quite a trek (but a good 'un).
A couple of questions for you:

1: Will the solo tunes on this tour be "Ginger" tunes only or stuff you've done outside of the Wildhearts, SG5, Clam Abuse etc?

2: Regarding merchandise, specifically T-shirts. I invariably buy at least one T-shirt from every tour but the last one I purchased (Earth vs 15 year) was dreadful quality thin, scratchy and only stood up to about one wash. Any chance of changing manufacturers back to Fruit of the Loom or something, I would be happy to pay a few extra quid to cover the costs as I'm sure most others would.

Cheers. See ya at TJ's.

At least it's on their gig page, which is currently more than can be said for a certain venue in the environs of Winchester.

You couldn't email them again and get them to put the ticket link right, could you?

Re: the set. There will be selections from SG5 and solo stuff. Clam Abuse and SS666 will not be included, I'm afraid.

Re: merch. This is one of the areas that I'm afraid I can't be charge of. We find out what quality the shirts are when they turn up at the first show. It has often happened where we find that the shirts are substandard quality, but to turn them back and order new ones would mean that we'd have nothing to sell for the tour. Merchandise is one of the ways we are able to finance a tour, being so breathtakingly independent and cool etc etc, so we sell what we have and use a different company next time. I can only ask you to check the merchandise before buying and make the decision to purchase based on your approval.
I will certainly ask that the shirts be premium quality and hope for the best.

Hey Ginger, I'm pretty excited about this solo tour coming up. Saw you last time you popped into Nottingham on the acoustic tour and you barely played anything off Market Harbour.

So...please please pleeeeeeeeeeease can you play Malibu Chronicle in Nottingham? If you do...I'll bring you a mars bar...or something.
and just last week as i was clearing shit from off my shelf...

Hi Ginger

Nice to speak to you from here, we are a mainly nice crowd !

Am really looking forward to hearing some SG5 stuff live and a few songs from Valor would be great. I see that Conny is out and about again any plans to get together?

Am trying to organise a team from work for the London gig but whatever happens myself my daughter Cerri and her bloke will be there.

Cheers

Steve

As you can imagine there are a fair few songs to learn from my solo output alone but we're going to try to mix it up every night. I can't promise specific songs will be played at specific shows. I just hope there will be enough familiar material for everyone to have a great evenings entertainment.
And remember, come say HI at the merchandise desk after the show. I'm really looking forward to meeting you.

Gx

It sounds great!

Because of the band layout will that mean that it will rule out some of the longer songs involving more instruments, or piano based songs?

To be honest I'll be happy whatever you will play, but just a thought.

Hey Ginger, I run the Street Team in Singapore.....so far, it consists of one! I dont as yet have anything to promote (other than the Wildhearts in general). How bout a special one off down here? It's very nice.
