Nah, I listened to the paranoid squirrel podcast - the chorus is way more like "This Is A Low" by Blur. Almost a straight rip.

Newcastle, despite the cack sound, was a LOT of fun. Better than Manchester, I reckon.
Met Jase and the man himself outside afterwards, he even gave me a cigarette too!

Oh, fair enough. I'm just surprised they didn't play it. I think nearly everywhere else got that one.

They did QOL at JB's and I thought it went down really well. That might have been one of Dick Decent's cheat sheets you had there.

True that, I just had a listen to the Blur track, does sound similar.

I prefer ROTNC out of the two new tracks, can't wait to get a studio version of that song, will probably be a while though..

I love both Wildhearts and Blur and can vaguely remember an article/interview around Endless Nameless time where Ginger claimed the band he'd like to be in most would be Blur now that Chas & Dave had left (odd I know, as This Is A Low was before they joined).

Other links include the mutual covers of That's when I Reach For My Revolver (MIssion Of Burma/Coxon) and there's a tune on Market Harbour that sounds like Albarn could have written it, title escapes me at the minute but it's quite Brecht. I met Ginger at a Graham Coxon gig once too.

from my position at the Manchester gig, (and the 1810 Euston to Crewe last night as I listened to the Squirrel podcast and belted out the chorus to Yeah Yeah Yeah to the bemusement of carriage H), "this too will pass" sounded like a cross between Stay Young by Ultrasound (remember Tiny anyone?) and Angels by Robbie Williams........

Glasgow was great, we got treated to 4 brand spanking new songs 2 of which have been previously mentioned - Return of the Northern Cardinal & This Too Will Pass but we also got "Do the lonely suffer more or less at the point of death" and "After all you said about cowboys". I can't really remember what they sounded like excpet for the fact that they sounded pretty good to me, whatever thats worth haha!!

Other news from the stage which may or may not have been revealed at other gigs was plans to tour and record with the lineup of musicans on stage around December time so we can all look forward to that.

Glasgow was incredible. I can't add to the list above. The band were top, Ginger was chatty and seemed to be in a great mood. It's a shame that one dude got booted out but it didn't spoil the night. And a couple got engaged, are they on here?

I agree, mate, I hope they return for another show. I'll gladly hop on a train back there - had a blast, and found some rather nice pubs too!

I enjoyed it, was soured by the guy who got kicked out - a little worse for wear and wouldn't take no for an answer and tried to start a fight because of it.
