Absolutely, great idea for a charity, I'd love to be part of something to help this. Mental illness is a terrible thing and I'm sure plenty of us have the scars to prove it.
Isn't it ironic that not many people know the meaning of the word esoteric?

Think you might be right there psycho (shit that sounds dodgy!!!!) I'm really keen to get stuck in, especially with uni finishing in a few weeks so an update would be really cool!

so things needed:-

-a name ... well that's kinda done ... and a cool one it is too.
-a website ... pretty essential these days
-a bank account ... presumably one of these makes it official, and you can then apply for grants etc, and place donations in it. Im guessing charities need more than one signatory. ..possibly implying some sort of comittee....Im guessing Ginger would be one ??? Im guessing there's probably some health care people who'd be interested in this ????

anyways that's my start of a todo list ... there's probably already one, maybe it's just on a bit of paper someplace ... but lets make it happen ???

what else ???

You need a statement of purpose type thing that states exactly what the charity aims to do and how. Need a list of volunteers to start working on getting the name out into the public so that when you fundraise, people know who you are. Need to be registered as a charity so you can fundraise, start looking into how much it's gonna cost for things like advertising etc so that fundraising can start.
Also contact the Department of Health to see if they would fund the charity until you raise enough funds to keep you going.
I'd say there's a fair old whack of things to do. And thats only the things I can remember that needed doing for Saneline when I volunteered there!!!
