Ginger has mentiond a couple of times that he will be attending the Kerrang Awards tonite and a recent tweet got me thinking -
"Lovely day spent doing as close to nothing much as possible. Kerrang awards tomorrow. Who knows, maybe they'll give us something?"
Obviously theyre not nominated in any catagorys but Kerrang do have a Spirit Of Independance award that I remember being won by Turbonegro a while back.
So maby theres a chance they are winning that?? I think theyd fit the award perfectly and Kerrang always like to give it to a band who have something to promote so the impending album release ties in nicely.
They also have a Classic Songwriter Award that obviously should be theirs on a silver platter. They gave it to Def Leppard last year so maby Wildhearts are in with a chance but I think the Spirit Of Indipendance award is more likely.
Shure, they probly wont leave their seats all nite and Im being way to premature but I just have an undying hope that something big is going to happen for the band who deserve it so much
After all, even if its just for exposure, there must be a reason Kerrang has invited them tonite to an event frequented by Metallica, Slipknot, Enter Shikari, Gallows and Green Day.
All signs point towards CHUTZPAH!
