hotels/bed and breakfast in portsmouth

Does anyone know of any decent and not to expensive and preferably near to the wedgewood rooms hotels or b & bs in Portsmouth, as I'm off to see the Wildhearts there when they play next month and I dont fancy missing the last train and being stuck there.

I don't off hand, you are welcome to crash on my couch..... it would mean a ferry ticket to the Island but it's there if you did get stuck.

Do you know what time the last train is? I don't even know the ferry times yet because the winter timetable starts on the same day as the gig .... and of course wightlink (commonly known as shitelink here) only have the summer timetable out at the moment......

CHeers for the offer fella much appreciated, the last train back to brighton that doesnt take six bloody hours is 22.45, I suppose i could, at a push miss the last few songs as im seeing them on the first and final dates to but why would i wanna do that.

I'll get some phone numbers of B+B's for ya and if you don't fancy the prices of them, or you'd prefer a boat trip and getting woken up by my kids at stupid o'clock the next day in a stranger's house.. let me know and you can crash at mine.... at least you'd get a free breakfast!

Cheers D, I did see that online but according to their map they're quite a way from the venue and as I've only ever been to portsmouth once before and that was to get a ferry I'd prefer one as close to the venue as possible so there's less chance of me getting lost which has been known to happen on more than one occasion even though i had maps with me

not really....the wedge isn't even in portsmouth, technically it's in southsea. You'd be better off with a B+B on southsea seafront to be honest.

No definatley not although in my defence it was their map and the advice of a bus driver that made me get lost, to make matters worse theres a Currys the next block over which I knew how to get to without any trouble, only thing is I only found that out ast wednesday when I overheard two of the staff talking, I felt a bit silly after that.
Mind you stick me in London I'll find my way without a map no problem
