Glasgow Bastille...a long way from home.

Hey,

Me and my mate are heavy fans of Ginger and were planning to take a long weekend up in Glasgow to catch the acoustic set.

Any nice Glaswegians know anything about the venue or the gig. Is it just Ginger playing? will we need tickets in advance?

Also is there any quality Rock gear or record stores in Glasgow we should know about?

Any info is appreciated,

Cheers,

-Tom, in sunny Hull

Hey I'm new here. From what i've figured out the venue is a pub type place, like a fancy barfly or something, I'm not sure but it will prolly be something similar. It's an acoustic gig if you haven't guessed.

And if your looking for a good record store theres all the usuals like Fopp, Music Zone Virgin and that, but be sure to check out avalanche records, it's beside queen street train station's buchanan street facing entrance. It's a cool small chain of stores, and they always have some wildhearts/ginger stuff in under "the wildhearts" in the heavy metal section, I got the yo-yo's last EP there dead cheap and the Neil Leyton one for £1.99, which was nice.

Are the tickets on-sale yet? I've not seen any links posted to ticket vendors.

Did we see each other? I started out wearing a Gearhead characatures T shirt, which was quickly changed for "Future's Bright" T shirt. #3 hair trim plus beard. Wish I could remember more about the evening......too many bars selling Stella!

Cheers, Keith.

Is the guy I bumped into on buchanan street on these forums? I was walking down with my missus with my smileybones shirt on and he came up to me with who I assume is his missus asking if I knew where the gig was?

I kinda knew but explained poorly, rambling on about an alleyway thing with banners.
