Postby skychaserhigh » 23rd Jul 06, 14:27

Probably not everyone's cup of tea but i went to see the Lostprophets last night and they were truly awesome a band at the hight of their powers, totally spellbinding from start to finsh,
They also came across as very cool down to earth guys (the magazines sometimes portry them as up themselves)

I really don't rate the Lost Prophets at all, but each to their own, and I'm glad you enjoyed yourself. They just don't do anything for me.

Fucking wannabe american posers.
Soz, i had to say that. They're like a fucking boyband though, perfect clothes and hair and nice unoffensive pop songs. No thanks.

I wasn't keen until the first time I saw them live and I really enjoyed them. Haven't got as far as buying an album yet - me being a poor student, I have to be particular just now!

They may have perfect hair but they rock like a motherfucker.....
Trust me if you had seen the size of the circle pit for burn/burn you would not just put them down as boyband/pop clones
It's kinda sad when people belive everything magazines tell them without giving bands a chance

Yes I would still think exactly the same, a circle pit doesn't impresss me. I haven't read a music magazine in years, i decided for myself that they are shite.
Like i said, no thanks.

No sense in Turning American.

That would be as daft as Green Day trying to sound English.

No problem each to there own...

i just would never judge a band by hype (good or bad)

if you don't like the songs fair enough but to knock a british band for trying to crack america is stupid, ask any band/artist and they just want to get there music across to as many people as possible..

The prophets have spent no more time in the states then most british acts they have just had more sucsess than most (down to there quality songwriting in my opinion) 8)

I always find it funny that most fans of boy-band-nu-metal seem to be burly blokes.. If I'm in a club dancing to Linkin Park I'm always surrounded by men (tho I wouldn't complain!)

I'll be open-minded to the new album.. I won't dismiss them straight away. And moshy gigs do make me inclined to like them - was the main thing missing from seeing Gn'R recently..

You won't be dissapionted with their new album, has all the aspects of a great wildhearts album:
Strong melodies
Heavy guitars
Quality songwriting
Great musicanship
Bloody great singalong bits

Bringing up an old thread here I know (haven't been on here in a while) ..

Went to see them, didn't really enjoy them (HATE their newest album, which obviously they played most of. Hadn't heard it by the time I'd got the tickets). Ok, personal preference, no biggie

But they ARE a bunch of up-themselves fuckwits. There's a local festival where I live called the Uxfest, they played there a few moons ago and they were a pompous bunch of twats due to the success they were getting at THAT time, before they'd even released the fake sound of progress. So I'd hate to think what they're really like now that they're as successful as they are
Angels on the sideline; puzzled and confused
