Glasgow tonight! who's all going?

Albums, singles, songs and general Ginger banter

Postby Iain Mc » 31st Oct 06, 16:58

I too shall be in attendance

I believe the venue is an old porn theatre, or so I'm told. I guess we'll find out if the carpet is still sticky.

I'm taking the car tonight so won't be drinking but then again I don't really need a drink to go mental at a gig.

Don't believe me.

OK

Last night I went to see Lordi................sober.

Jumping about to mad guys in makeup in a mosh pit with kids half my age and I didn't have a drop of drink in me.

Back to the subject.

YEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Ginger gig is in less than 5 hours. WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

I'm all shades of green imaginable. Virgin Atlantic would not allow me to use air miles to come over for these dates (although I'd have been mighty pissed off in Dumfries). I hope it's a blinder tonight....the Bastille was good, but a smidge on the cozy side, and clearly something had happened behind the scenes as it were. It all seems to be happening!!

Enjoy tonight.....

Pretty much The Wildhearts minus CJ!!

Some good shit! The Halloween theme was a nice touch at the begginging!!!

Does anyone have a list of Ginger's t-shirts??
The only one that springs to mind this morning is "Tits and Splits"!!

Lovely stuff!!!

Thier version of "Every Breath You Take" was a delight!!!!!!

Well, I'm off to work!!

I have to say that Black Windows sounds ace last night. I canna wait for the album in Jan. I loved the gig last night. The venue is very good I think, good sound from the pa. Great place for new band nights. Met some top people from here as well Just In Lust and Ian Mc, how do guys. Well now looking forward to December.

Fantastic gig last night even though the crowd was a bit mellow.
Eager To Leave 'er was superb and the cover of That's When I Look For My Revolver was stunning.
29 x The Pain.......is there a better live song? I don't think so.
The God Damn Whores rocked like a mutha as well.

Bro-in-law went....he's the big baldy guy at the front who got whacked by RJP's Budweiser bottle. He mentioned that the artists had requested no photography...anyone know the story there? He had to leave prior to the end but mentioned that Ginger said that the encore was "worth waiting for"....can anyone elaborate?

Banter between Ginger and RJP apparently was rather special?

Ditto all the above about how great the Glasgow gig was.

Re photos; My guess is that wearing 6 t-shirts at once isn't a particularly flattering look and the photos would be around long after we'd all forgotten about the t-shirts. Before the gig I'd seen a photo on someone's blog and thought Ginger was looking a bit 'round', but once you've seen the show you realise why.
