Check into the Novotel at 5.45ish and grab food and a beer

Find my way to the Wulfrun Hall and see a stonking gig!

Back to the hotel and try to get some sleep even though I'll be buzzing with adreniline after seeing the world's greatest rock and roll band ever...

Up at 6 in time to get the train back to Manchester to be in work by 8

Just booked tickets and hotel now... with the train it's gonna be about £100, worth it though, missed out on Scarborough, don't wanna miss this!

Yeah I feel your pain. For me and Mrs. Kite we have to leave home at about 6:30, drive 30 minutes to Faulkland Street car park (by Moleneaux football ground, open all night and FREE) and then a 5 minute walk to the Civic. And then do it all again backwards ! Life is hard
(mind, I'm driving so i'll be sober, wheras I guess most others will be drinking and then sleep it off...)

Could the live page on the Wildhearts website be amended so that the live date isn't buried under loads of expired acoustic gigs? Sorry to be Captain Nag and all that. Want to see it sold out!

Me and the missus are staying at the Novotel near the station (still quite walkable to the gig from the maps). If you go through their website and go for the Hot Deal option (no changes & no refund if you pull out) it's 50 something squids.

I know the station is about 5-10 minutes walk from the venue - there is also a SMALL amount of free parking at the station too.

Thanks to Ean U's advice, bro-in-law and I are booked into the Novotel also. It's going to be quite the pre and post gig Listee xmas party!! My head's hurting already.
