Anyone knows which item is rarest so far? (inc promos,memorabilia)

I think the following items should be on the list :

* The Wildhearts (Round / Cargo promo CDR original 14trks inc Zen / Borderline)
* Withdrawn UK tour programme
* Must Be Destroyed album sampler (CDR 4trk UNMASTERED)
* Promo 2002 (CDR in DVD case Vanilla Radio / Stormy)
* Vanilla Radio (USA promo CDS Unique sleeve)

I'm pretty sure the cdr with Zen and Borderline doesn't exist as the way technology goes now they'd both be out doing the rounds on file sharing, Ean?

Dunno, JasonH is yer man for this stuff. My collection doesn't really extend much beyond the commercial releases - mostly due to financial constraints.

I've never heard of it - doesn't mean it doesn't exist though, but to be honest I doubt it - most promos seem to be the same as the eventual tracklist, unless for some reason they have to be withdrawn or changed, and those two songs never appeared on anything that was officially announced - even the very first provisional list that AndyB found was only on the HMV japan site, so I don't know how 'official' it was?

Yeah, the only tour programme i know of was the one shortly after the reunion when they had Amen in support.

If by rare he means the one that was sold on at least one, and possibly two UK tours; was available through the merch on the website for a while; and was bought by probably thousands of us, then I guess you could call it rare...

I wouldn't say it was withdrawn though... wildly out of date maybe...

I think it is the one that some of you purchased on their early reunion tour,but I was said this is withdrawn issue due to Danny's left when I got it from the guy who has GF was working for the boss from GUT records then.They used it for promotional purpose only after Danny's left I guess?

A beautiful programme with a lot of Wild art from Wild artists.Mine is fully autographed.

Slightly weird story: I bought that tour programme when they played the Glasgow Barrowlands gig with Amen.

That night my friends and I got the train back through from Glasgow to Edinburgh to stay at a friend's flat. There were a bunch of Geordies on the train and we ended up talking to them 'cos everyone was pissed and feeling highly sociable.

One guy spotted my tour prog and proceeded to tell me that his gran (or maybe an auntie?) was from South Shields where she used to be a childminder and used to babysit Danny and Chris McCormack when she was younger.

He was very interested in looking at the tour prog, although he said he wasn't really a fan of the band despite knowing about them. He could have been lying of course, but he seemed genuine enough. Odd.

I think the promo New Flesh DVD should be on there, that was only given to those on the shoot by the looks of things. Also is there a test pressing on a white label for the double vinyl 'The Wildhearts'album? They usually exist to test the record before production, but i imagine if they've only made 1000 there is probably only a couple in existance if at all.

Yea, the 'New Flesh' dvd should be in the list. From the looks of it Im the only one here with one to begin with so that already makes it rare as hens teeth.

And how about the promo for 'the sweetest song'? I got hold of one the other day and thought it must be pretty rare as it was a download only single and preceeded any stuff from the s/t.

Aside from that I have two fully signed 'withdrawn' tour programs (one signed by just the band and another signed by the band and all of Therapy?), the american Vanilla Radio promo and the 4tk Must Be Destroyed sampler (and the 11tk promo) but Im still yet to get hold of the Vanilla Radio / Stormy cdr promo

Oh, an I really doubt the existance of a full album promo of the preliminary (or however its spelt) tracklisting for the s/t that would have been produced for magazines or internet reviews as no mention of one has passed through this message board...

I agree with the comments about the promo CD with Zen Requiem and Borderline - it probably doesn't exist. If it does, it almost certainly won't have been circulated. No doubt there are test pressings with these tracks somewhere but if there are then someone's keeping a tight hold of them.

There are test pressings of everything that's ever pressed - all CDs and all vinyls - so I never include them in any discographies or price guides unless there's something unique about them to make them extra special - such as different colour vinyls or extra tracks. No doubt there's some plain black vinyl test pressings of the Vanilla Radio picture disc sat in a corner somewhere...

As Universal Japan were still manufacturing promo cassettes at the time of Destroyed, it's a fair bet that there's one for RARAMFR too but I'm yet to see any evidence of this. And given how much press there's been for the Destroy All Monsters video, there must be a promo DVD of it doing the rounds - surely all those media outlets haven't just been directed to YouTube?

Wow. Ordered it from ZYX quite a while ago. It was already rather expensive, esp. the shipping (within Germany), but at least not *that* expensive.
