london tube times

just been reading the "EARTH VS ROLL CALL THREAD" and there's talk of a few people going for a post gig drink which would be cool but i've booked a travelodge 4 mile away so what sort of times do the tubes run till. i've booked the one in farringdon for £29 but i'm considering cancelling and booking somewhere nearer. the wife knows as soon as i have a few drinks i'll totally forget about catching any trains.

i want to make this trip as hassel free as poss and catching tubes after minnight whilst drunk can be a bit off a hassel

Tube times and bus routes - there are a number of night buses so it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

cheers guys, cancelling wasn't really an option because of the non refund what i really wanted was to put the wifes mind at rest, she really doesn't want to get stranded with a drunk i'll check that link out

I'm going to be staying in the Hilton Wembley (oooh fancy I know but spending 8 hours on the bus to get to london then i want a decent bed).

I have all day to figure out how to get to the gig as travelling down the night before but getting back from the gig will be a different story.

So if anyone spots a really drunken dude with a big flame tattoo on his right arm please show me the way to get to the hilton wembley

jeez sarcy boy sounds like you got it bad but its mrs sarc who i feel sorry for, she's got two little misbehavin' brats to keep an eye on

A few of us are staying there, I believe! I certainly am, anyway.

It's a little walk whichever of the Wembley tube stops you get off at, but nothing major.

I find it works rather well if you stick something on the stereo (Wildhearts an obvious choice, as long as you can skip the less child-friendly bits to avoid repercussions from any proper adults around) then put the Wii on and start enjoying yourself playing tennis or Guitar Hero III or something (obviously if you're on GH then no stereo on). Any nearby child then gets interested in why you're having such a great time and wants to join in - this is to be greeted with a " Not a chance sunshine, you've been a bad boy/girl and will thus be sent directly to your room/cupboard/box without having any kind of fun. I will remain stationed here having a great time thanks, you let me know when you're ready to behave and you can join in." 5 to 10 minute of screaming follows, then miraculously they calm down and start behaving. And if they don't then you get to continue having a laugh on the Wii. Winner.
